Sri Rahul College archived in outstanding results at grade 5 scholarship examination in 2019 and obtained 45% of pass rate which was the highest among the schools in the city.

31 students sat for the G C E exam in English medium (bilingual) in year 2018 and Sir Rahula College managed to obtain the second place in the zone which was analysed by the zonal Education Office according to the passing rate.

Extra curricular Achievements













Aesthetic Achievements in 2018

  • All Island Traditional Dancing Competition in 2018 – Wageesha Kawshalee Senavirathne in grade 10 won the all Island 3rd place for “Pol Paththeya of Udarata Tradition”.
  • Schools’ Traditional Dancing Competition in 2018 (Zonal Level) – Sri Rahula College’s Traditional Dancing Group (Girls) won the 1ts place for “Udarata Ukussa Wannama”.

Chess

  • Manuga Malmith Maitipe student in grade 3 at Sri Rahula College had been selected for the group of 25 students who were participated for the Asian Youth Chess Completion. (These 25 students were selected from more than 400 students around the Country)
  • Wathmira Gihan Perera student in grade 5 received an achievement award for the participation of the All Island Chess Competition in 2018.

English Day competition in 2018

English Language Day Competition is held by the Ministry of Education every year among government schools and government approved private schools in Sri Lanka on District Level, Zonal Level, Provincial Level and finally All Island.

  • Githmini Bandara student in grade 7 at Sri Rahula College won the All Island 1st place for the “Creative Writing” event.
  • Oshadi Kodagoda student in grade 10 won the All Island 3rd place for the “Dictation” event.
