Principal’s special message for students and parents
සියලුම දෙමාපියන් වෙත,
කොරෝනා වසංගතය හේතුවෙන් අප රට මුහුණපා ඇති බැරෑරුම් තත්ත්වය නිසා නිවසට වී සිටින ඔබ නිරන්තරයෙන් සෞඛ්‍ය උපදෙස් පිළිපැදීමට කටයුතු කරනු ඇතැයි විශ්වාස කරමි. එමෙන්ම අපගේ ආරක්ෂාව පතා මෙම ව්‍යවසනය දුරු කිරීමට කැපවී සිටින රටේ නායකයින් හා සියළු ක්ෂේත්‍රවල වෘත්තිකයන් ඇතුළු කාර්යමඩළු වලට ද කෘතවේ දී වෙමු.
දීර්ඝ ඉතිහාසයක් තුළ ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨ ජාතියක් ලෙස මෙවැනි උපද්‍රව වලට ශක්තිමත්ව මුහුණ දී ජයගත් අපි මෙම අවස්ථාවේදී ද හැකි සෑම පියවරක්ම ඥාණාන්විතව ගැනීම යුතුකමක් සේ සිතමු. නිවැරදි දැක්මක් සහිත ජාතික වගකීමකින් කටයුතු කිරීමට ඇපකැප වු පාසලක් ලෙස මෙම අවස්ථාවේදී ද ඉගෙනුම් කටයුතු අඩාල නොවී පවත්වාගෙන යාමට “අඛණ්ඩ පැවරුම් ක්‍රමවේදයක් ” සැලසුම් කර ඇති බව සතුටින් දන්වා සිටිමි. තාක්ෂණික විශේෂඥ දැනුම උපයෝගි කරගනිමින් ඉගෙනුම් කලමණාකාර පද්ධතියක් ( LMS ) ස්තාපිත කිරීමට දැනටමත් කටයුතු ආරම්භ කර ඇති අතර එතෙක් පාසල් වෙබ් අඩවිය මගින් ලබා දෙන පැවරුම් භාවිතා කර ස්වයං අධ්‍යනයට යොමු වීමට සහ ඒ හා බැදුණු ඉගෙනුම් පුරුදු ඇති කර ගැනීමේ අවස්ථාව ඔබ උපරිම ලෙස ප්‍රයෝජනයට ගනු ඇතැයි අපේක්ෂා කරමි.
පාසලේ කළමණාකාරීත්වය, විදුහල්පතිතුමා ඇතුළු ආචාර්ය මණ්ඩලය, තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණ ආයතනය මෙන්ම සමස්ථ කාර්යමඩුල්ල එක්ව ගන්නා ලද මෙම උත්සහය ප්‍රශංසනීය වේ. මෙහි දී මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය පිළිබඳ අවශ්‍ය සියළුම සම්පත් ලබා දී අනුපමේය කැපවීමක් කළ කළමණාකාර අධ්‍යක්ෂ රොෂාන් තෙන්නකෝන් මැතිතුමාට මාගේ කෘතඥතාවය පළ කරමි.
ඉගෙනුම් වැඩපිළිවෙල
දැනට පිළිවෙල කර ඇති ක්‍රමවේදය අනුව 1 – 13 ශ්‍රේණි සිසුන් / දෙමාපියන් විසින් පාසල් වෙබ් අඩවිය වෙත පිවිස අදාළ ගොණුවෙන් තම පැවරුම් ලබා ගෙන ලබා දී ඇති උපදෙස් අනුව ඉතා උනන්දුවෙන් ඒවා සම්පුර්ණ කළ යුතුවේ. මේ සදහා අවශ්‍ය තාක්ෂණික මෙවලම සපයා දී තම දරුවන් නිසි ක්‍රමවේදයකට අනුව නිවසේ දී තම දරුවන් නිසි ක්‍රමවේදයකට අනුව නිවසේ දී ඒ සදහා අවශ්‍ය තාක්ෂණික මෙවලම සපයා දී තම දරුවන් නිසි ක්‍රමවේදයකට අනුව නිවසේ දී ඒ සදහා යොමු කිරීම දෙමාපියන් සතු වගකීම වේ. තව ද තම පැවරුම් නිදහසේ කිරීමට ඔවුනට ඉඩ ප්‍රස්ථාව සැලසීම හා ඉවසිලිමත්ව ක්‍රියා කිරීම ද දෙමාපියන්ගෙන් අපේක්ෂා කරමි. එසේම පැවැරුම්පත් සම්බන්ධයෙන් යම්කිසි ගැටළුවක් ඇත්නම් ලබා දී ඇති දුරකතන අංක මගින් විමසිය හැකිය.
දෙන ලද පැවරුම් නිසි කලට නොකිරීමෙන් ඒවා ගොඩගැසීම නිසා සිසුන් අධෛර්යමත් විය හැකි බැවින් දෛනිකව කාලසටහනකට අනුව අභ්‍යාස කිරීම සුදුසුම ක්‍රමය ලෙස දන්වමි. තව ද දෙන ලද පැවැරුම් පිළිවෙලට ගොනු කර නැවත පාසල් ආරම්භ වන දිනයේ දී අනිවාර්යෙන් රැගෙන එන ලෙස සියළුම ශිෂ්‍ය ශිෂ්‍යාවන්ට සිහිපත් කරමි.
සියළු රෝග පීඩා වලින් ආරක්ෂා වී නිරෝගි සුවය ලැබේවායි පතමි.
Sri Lanka is not like any other country .It is a sacred and prosperous land which has all the potentials to stand alone. It has continuously faced challenges throughout the history and risen back to normalcy miraculously during the times of wars and epidemics.Today all leaders and professional teams from top to bottom in our country are fighting day and nightto control covid 19. We too mustjoin the venture by following the health and hygienic practices to the letter to assure our own protection and so we stay home.
The Sri Rahula College stands for national fervor and always acts for the interest of the student population. In response to the postponement of the reopening day, we have determined to open new opportunities using our own technologicalexpertise in the field of ICT. Let me be grateful to the Managing Director, Mr.Roshan Thennakoon, for pioneering the project and allocating all the resources needed for the venture.
Study programme during corona pandemic
We are of the view that students as well as teachers should get together to continue the studies taking full use of the extended holidays. As a measure, with collaboration of the school management, principal and the academic staff as well as the affiliated computer school, the school has provided student support study materials in the website for each grade from1 to 13.The students are expected to study the relevant lessons carefully and answer the assignments diligently. This task needs working to a set daily time table prepared by the student him/herself to complete the tasks in time. Such a practice would avoid accumulation of workload since the assignments will be uploaded weekly. The students should bring the completed assignments to school once it is opened for the new term.
Parents are requested to encourage children by allocating time and facilitating things for them at home.You are expected to be always supportive and have patience with them. Teachers have taken steps to create materials as self-study packs for core subjects, while enquiries will be made using the provided calling facilities. We do emphasize all the students to use the opportunity to improve the skill of self-studying and make it a habit to lay foundation for lifelong learning.
